Sunday at 3 p.m., First Congregational will meet at St. Michael’s Episcopal, 1601 W. Imhoff Road. As part of our continuing Summer Pulpit Series, Dr. Chris Carter will be speaking. His sermon will be "Matthew 25 Christianity" from Matthew 25:31-46. Kyle Gregory will serve as liturgist. Special music will be provided by Mary Sallee and Kiegan Ryan. Dr. Carter graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Letters. After serving four years as an officer in the US Air Force, he returned to OU and earned a PhD in English. After serving thirty-two years as a title analyst in the oil and gas industry, he retired and returned to the university classroom, both as a student and an instructor. After ten rewarding years teaching mostly sophomore survey courses in the English Department, he retired again. He now teaches "The Modern Short Story" to participants in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at OU. Attend in person or watch on YouTube via the website, normanucc.org..
