Sunday at 3 p.m., First Congregational will meet at St. Michael’s Episcopal, 1601 W. Imhoff Road, and Rev. Kathy Brown will begin The Summer Pulpit Series which continues through July. Rev. Brown’s sermon is “When Compassion Breaks the Rules” from Matthew 9:9-13 and 18-26. Teri Muenchau will serve as liturgist and communion will be served. Special music will be provided by Mary Sallee, pianist, and Jay Wilkinson. Following a career in higher education, Rev. Kathy Brown received her Master of Divinity degree from St. Paul School of Theology and served as a minister at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Tulsa.
