Shawn Meyers received a Master of Fine Arts in process from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Liberal Arts in studio art from Oklahoma City University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. She also holds a Certificate of Welding Processes and has attended blacksmithing and art welding seminars.

Meyers’ work has received several honors including Art Awards from Mainsite Contemporary Art in Norman in 2003 and 2004; as well as Best Drawing Award/Student Exhibition, Best Body of Work, and Best Graduate Work/Student Exhibition from Oklahoma City University. Meyers has served as a juror of the Paseo Arts Festival in Oklahoma City and as Adjunct at Oklahoma City Community College and Oklahoma City University.
