Rev Dr Davies’s sermon is entitled, Wisdom and Truth, and is based on Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31 and John 16:12-15.

Mark Davies is the Wimberly Professor of Social and Ecological Ethics and the Director of the World Institute for Social and Ecological Responsibility at Oklahoma City University where he has worked for 29 years. He is also the Executive Director of the Leadership, Education, and Development (LEAD) Hub of the United Methodist General Board of Higher Education and Ministry.

Mark’s PhD is from Boston University in the area of Social Ethics. His Master of Divinity Degree is from Emory University, and his undergraduate degree is from Oklahoma City University.

Mark engages in advocacy and activism in the areas of peace, social justice, and ecological sustainability. Locally this is expressed through his work with the Human Community Network, which works to create non-violent systemic change for a just and flourishing human and ecological community through collaboration, education, innovation, and action.
